The $9 million project included the renovation and expansion of the existing 1940s school building which remained fully occupied throughout construction. Construction activities included a 60,000 square-foot renovation and the construction of a 24,000 square-foot three-story classroom addition. Features of the addition include 15 classrooms, a science laboratory, cafeteria, and three special education rooms with flexible collaborative space provided on each floor.
The newly modernized school boasts classrooms equipped with smart boards, wireless internet access throughout the building, a renovated media center, blacktop play area, flexible space for outdoor cafeteria seating, and a new courtyard that serves as an extension of the learning environment and offers exterior classroom space.
