The camp is fully woven into the school’s architectural layout, maximizing the educational and recreational opportunities. Innovative teaching techniques combined with the sustainable elements of the facility guide students along the path of environmental stewardship. The LEED Gold certified 121,000-SF facility features sloped ceilings, daylight harvesting, occupancy sensor control light fixtures, light louvers, ground heat exchange, and rainwater reuse. Manassas Park Elementary School was awarded MCGraw-Hill Construction’s Mid-Atlantic Construction Best of 2009 – K-12 Project of the Year.
